In celebrating International Women's History Month, three global artistic leaders from China and Japan will perform traditional, classical and contemporary music that transcends cultural landscapes. Classical pianist Sachiko Suga, combining traditional virtuosity and expression with remarkable originality, will perform works by Messiaen and Chopin. Guzheng master Mao Ya, will perform traditional Chinese compositions, as well as the world premiere of Heng-lu Yao's Celestial Pavilion. Yukari, jazz flutist, and members of her trio, will debut her original work, Dragon Dance that fuses diverse musical styles with evolving innovation.

This concert is the first in a series of Women of Asia Arts Concerts presented by The National Association of Women for the Arts (NAWARTS) and sponsored by the Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc., Japan Entrepreneurs and Presidents Association and the United Nations Friendship Association.
